Five Juicing Recipes That Use Autumn Fruits and Veggies

We all love our pumpkin spice lattes and hot ciders, but it’s time to widen our palate this fall.  An easy way to do that is by making a glass one of these five juices and smoothies using in-season fruits and veggies.

Juicing is a great way to not only get your daily dose of healthy fruits and veggies but an ideal way to lose weight before the holidays, boost your energy and improve your overall health with one of these seasonal drinks.

Pumpkin Apple Pie

Nothing says autumn like pumpkins and apple pie. Combine both for a truly tasty smoothie! Blend pumpkin, cored apples, honey, a splash of vanilla, cinnamon and dashes of ground cloves, ginger and nutmeg in a blender. Thin with water if desired.

Celery and Pear Smoothie

Blend a couple of pears, celery stalks, cored apples and a squeeze of lemon with a few ice cubes. Pears have a ton of fiber, help lower cholesterol and can boost your energy level, giving you more time to enjoy the outdoors.

Spicy Apple Carrot Juice

Add a little kick to your apple and carrot juice because nothing’s better than some autumn spice. Simply blend two cored apples with about four or five carrots and a thin slice of ginger. Blend with more ginger for more of a kick and add ice to make it a thick smoothie! It’s full of fiber to keep you full and focused and the ginger eliminates the holiday bloat and helps you feel more energized.

Green Snickerdoodle

Snickerdoodles are delicious anytime the year, especially during the fall! Now you can say goodbye to the calories while still getting that yummy snickerdoodle taste! In a blender, blend a handful of spinach, a banana and a small avocado with a splash of almond milk, vanilla and cinnamon.

Pumpkin Smoothie

While it’s perhaps not the healthiest smoothie recipe, it’s certainly the most delicious fall smoothie! Blend a can of pumpkin pie filling with 3 cups of whole milk, ½ cup of vanilla yogurt, and a dash of cinnamon. You can make it a bit healthier by using non-fat milk and yogurt.
